How the Three-Hour Lesson Works
Lessons are private and flexible, but most sessions follow three practical stages that move from equipment and casting fundamentals to river awareness.
We begin with the fly rod, reel, line, leader, tippet, basic knots, and the purpose of the different pieces in a fly-fishing system.
You receive individual instruction while practicing timing, loop shape, accuracy, pickup and laydown casts, and other skills suited to your goals.
We finish with a walk along the river to discuss current, structure, trout-holding water, presentation choices, and how to approach a fishing area.
