The Truckee River is our home water, and we also guide trips on the East Walker River. These are two of the Eastern Sierra’s best rivers for large, hard-fighting brown and rainbow trout.

Plan Your Trip
A day on the water always beats a day in the office, but going when conditions are right makes it even better.
Our favorite times of year to fish are spring and fall, especially May through June and September through October. July and August can still be great months to fish, but we usually start early in the morning to beat the heat of the day.
The Truckee River sits on the eastern side of the Sierra Nevada and can experience a wide range of weather and water conditions. Use the links below to check river flows, weather and access before your trip.

The short answer is that it depends. We understand every dog is different, and we like to chat about it before booking. If it seems like a good fit, we are happy to have your furry friend along. However, dogs are not allowed on Truckee River float trips because the rafts are relatively small and inflatable.
